Little Chiyo Tutus

I first came across Little Chiyo in 2011, just after I had our first son, Dexter. I sat there staring in awe at these fluffy, beautiful tutus day dreaming of perhaps one day having a daughter. I remember the feeling as it popped up in my Facebook. They were so full, the colour was so soft and delicate. I remember thinking if I ever have a daughter, THIS will be the place I get her a tutu from. I’m not sure what it was that drew me to this shop, or these particular tutus but they had a different look to ones I had seen in the past. (I later found out this was because the ones I was lusting over were hand tied with 100 yards of the finest quality tulle.)

In 2012 we fell pregnant and found out we were having a boy. We thought we were done after having Kingston, so all thoughts of a daughter had been removed from my mind, although I really would have loved to have a little girl. Well! In 2014 my husband decided we were going to have a daughter. Luck was on his side haha! When we found out we were having a girl, I stalked Little Chiyo’s FB and IG pages and picked which tutu I would buy for her first birthday. How I longed for the day where I could pick a beautiful luscious tutu from Little Chiyo. I contacted Sasha and she was amazing. She was willing to chat to me about the tutu, and the best way to go about purchasing, and how I’d been waiting for this day!

When our tutu arrived, I opened the parcel. A beautiful aroma of musk lollies filled Elsa’s room and I immediately fell in love. It was well before Elsa’s 1st birthday but I HAD to try it on her. The stunningly soft tulle was layered, each tied by hand and perfectly placed with a satin bow pinned to the back by a diamanté love heart. And so began mine (and Elsa’s) love affair with Little Chiyo, and tutus in general.

Since that moment, Sasha has helped us with birthday tutus, Easter tutus and the most extravagant full length Cinderella inspired tutu for Disney on Ice.

When we went to Disney on Ice, we were stopped by numerous amounts of people asking where Elsa’s tutu was from, what her name was, how old is she, and some even asked to take photos of her! It’s a testament to Sasha’s amazing work.

Not only does Sasha make these beautifully handcrafted tutus, but she takes the time to speak to her customers and make sure they are getting exactly what they want. Her customer service is impeccable.

So, if you’re a tutu lover, you NEED to have at least one of these beauties in your home.
