Unicorn Milkshakes!

Over here at 2masters_and_a_miss, we are unicorn OBSESSED. So these holidays, I thought I’d treat the kids to UNICORN MILKSHAKES. And because we love to share, I thought we’d share our cute little recipe with you all.

The ingredients you will need are:

Milk,

Strawberries (3-4 per serve),

Ice cream (we chose Bulla Strawberries and cream),

Whipped Cream,

Wafers,

Sour Rainbow lollies,

Mini Marshmallows,

And Sugar Stars/Sprinkles.

(Optional, vanilla frosting to line the rim of the glass and then pressing sprinkles into it.)
You will also need a blender.

First of all, we cut our marshmallows in half and stuck them around the inside of the jar to make polka dots. Once we had finished doing that, we put our strawberries, one scoop (or more) of ice cream and milk in the blender and mixed until blended well.

Now comes the fun part! Pour your mixture into the cup you chose to use, and top with a scoop of ice cream. Grab your whipped cream and go for your life. Pile it as high or low as you want. Something I discovered after creating these cute milkshakes, was to leave a fair bit of room at the top of the glass for the ice cream and mile high cream. Now you get to strategically place (or just randomly throw shit everywhere. Whatever tickles your fancy!) your decorative edibles. We started with the rainbow straps. I popped one into the cream so it curved like a real rainbow. Then, I snapped a wafer in half and put each half into the cream. Then the marshmallows, and the sprinkles/sugar stars! And there you have it. The cutest little milkshake you ever did see.

I did try to find some amazing lollipops to stick in it, as well as unicorn cut outs buuuut my wonderful local Coles didn’t have any. And I totally forgot to line the rim of the glass with the vanilla frosting and sprinkles, but let’s face it. My kids probably don’t need even more sugar. LOL.

We hope you enjoy your creations, and we’d love to see any of your amazing treats when you make them! Enjoy! 💕

Little Chiyo Tutus

I first came across Little Chiyo in 2011, just after I had our first son, Dexter. I sat there staring in awe at these fluffy, beautiful tutus day dreaming of perhaps one day having a daughter. I remember the feeling as it popped up in my Facebook. They were so full, the colour was so soft and delicate. I remember thinking if I ever have a daughter, THIS will be the place I get her a tutu from. I’m not sure what it was that drew me to this shop, or these particular tutus but they had a different look to ones I had seen in the past. (I later found out this was because the ones I was lusting over were hand tied with 100 yards of the finest quality tulle.)

In 2012 we fell pregnant and found out we were having a boy. We thought we were done after having Kingston, so all thoughts of a daughter had been removed from my mind, although I really would have loved to have a little girl. Well! In 2014 my husband decided we were going to have a daughter. Luck was on his side haha! When we found out we were having a girl, I stalked Little Chiyo’s FB and IG pages and picked which tutu I would buy for her first birthday. How I longed for the day where I could pick a beautiful luscious tutu from Little Chiyo. I contacted Sasha and she was amazing. She was willing to chat to me about the tutu, and the best way to go about purchasing, and how I’d been waiting for this day!

When our tutu arrived, I opened the parcel. A beautiful aroma of musk lollies filled Elsa’s room and I immediately fell in love. It was well before Elsa’s 1st birthday but I HAD to try it on her. The stunningly soft tulle was layered, each tied by hand and perfectly placed with a satin bow pinned to the back by a diamanté love heart. And so began mine (and Elsa’s) love affair with Little Chiyo, and tutus in general.

Since that moment, Sasha has helped us with birthday tutus, Easter tutus and the most extravagant full length Cinderella inspired tutu for Disney on Ice.

When we went to Disney on Ice, we were stopped by numerous amounts of people asking where Elsa’s tutu was from, what her name was, how old is she, and some even asked to take photos of her! It’s a testament to Sasha’s amazing work.

Not only does Sasha make these beautifully handcrafted tutus, but she takes the time to speak to her customers and make sure they are getting exactly what they want. Her customer service is impeccable.

So, if you’re a tutu lover, you NEED to have at least one of these beauties in your home.
